that brings the other as nearly as close as oneself
This body of work was the culmination of a mentorship with Interdisciplinary artist Laiwan with the support of BC Arts Professional Development Grant. The work consisted of 62 plaster molds of my hands holding each, indigo rubbings on gallery walls, and a slipt-screen video work documenting me in the gallery creating the wall paintings. The split-screen video work was installed in the Western Front Gallery Bathroom. This body of work was part of the exhibition- Every Little Bit Hurts, at the Western Front Gallery in 2015.
