heart of the matter

This video work was created from my research and involvement with the residency Drift: Art and Dark Matter by the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute, and SNOLAB. In this video work, I talk about what it means to get to the heart of the matter while speaking about learning how to say I love you in my Slavey Dene Language. In the video I never say the phrase but I speak about what somatically and philosophically shifts in my body when thinking/loving in Dene rather than english.
